Like most other cosmetic fillers, Radiesse provides the instant benefit of filling in facial folds, lines, and depressions. However, it goes a step further by increasing the skin’s valuable collagen supply, the component which gives the skin its youthful fullness. Radiesse is a calcium hydroxyapatite-based product that can produce results for up to a year or longer. Radiesse has the added benefit of stimulating the skin’s natural collagen, a key protein which provides the skin with strength and elasticity. At his Houston MedSpa, triple board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Henry Mentz offers Radiesse injectable wrinkle filler treatments for patients who want long-lasting relief from wrinkles and volume loss.
"I have been a patient of Dr. MENTZ for more than 15 years. He is an artist...very gifted. He is extremely kind and thoughtful. His staff is conscientious, diligent and very responsive. Choose Dr Mentz and you will be ecstatic with the quality and aesthetics. Also HIGHLY recommend Renee at the spa for fillers, Botox excetera. She is just the best."- L.F. / Yelp / Mar 01, 2017

"I had an amazing experience. Would do it again. - I was lucky to choose Dr. Mentz as my surgeon. I am 13 days out at this time so still early in the recovery process but I am very satisfied with my progress. I had the remainder of my sutures removed yesterday and am looking forward to the future with my new much improved face. Dr. Mentz and his "family" of caring staff are beyond what everyone should look for in a PS. I know I chose the best!! - - I was lucky to choose Dr. Mentz as my surgeon. Radiesse is injected in the needed areas with a very fine needle, which causes minimal discomfort for most patients, but Radiesse can be mixed with a light anesthetic, like lidocaine, to make the procedure more comfortable. The results of Radiesse are usually seen immediately after the injection, but the appearance of the skin will continue to improve over time and with repeated treatments as more collagen is produced.

Radiesse Vs. Other Fillers?@headingTag>
Radiesse is unique because it is the only dermal filler approved by the FDA that is made with calcium-based microspheres instead of hyaluronic acid. The calcium hydroxyapatite base of Radiesse provides longer lasting results while improving the overall health of the skin.
Some patients may experience some mild, short-term side effects from their Radiesse treatment, including bruising, redness, swelling, discomfort, and itching. If you are concerned by any side effects or they last longer than 1 week, please contact our office for more information.
Patients are able to return to their normal activities immediately after their Radiesse treatment, however, it is recommended that patients avoid touching the treated area to prevent unwanted spreading. Patients should also avoid makeup and sun/heat exposure for at least 24 hours.
