Dr. Mentz and his ACPS colleagues, Dr. Germán Newall, Christopher K. Patronella, and the late Amado Ruiz-Razura contributed to this comprehensive guide to aesthetic plastic surgery. This award was bestowed by The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation for his article, “Thromboembolism in High Risk Aesthetic Surgery: Experience with 17 Patients in Review of 3871 Consecutive Cases,” published in 2008.
Dr. Mentz received the “Best Journal Article Award” for his research to advance the understanding and safety of high risk surgery.
