Restylane injectable wrinkle fillers, including Restylane Silk and Restylane Lyft, treat moderate-to-severe lines and wrinkles as well as improving age-related volume loss in the face. Both Silk and Lyft are FDA-approved hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers that create natural results. Restylane Silk is specially formulated to enhance the volume of the lips and correct lines around the mouth. At his Houston, TX MedSpa, triple board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Henry Mentz offers wrinkle treatments and temporary facial volume injections with the Restylane family of products. Dr. Mentz and his certified nurse injectors determine the best type of dermal filler during your consultation after listening to your needs, concerns, and cosmetic goals.
"Dr. Mentz is nothing short of a magician. I went to him for an abdominoplasty in November of 2015 and his work has been life changing. His "bedside manner" is equal to his skill. I did not, for one moment, feel spoken down to or intimidated by his brilliance. He was kind, professional and has a great sense of humor. This man is an artist."- J.R. / Facebook / Aug 16, 2017

Restylane is injected with an ultra-fine needle into the needed areas with or without the addition of a local anesthetic, like lidocaine. A Restylane treatment can usually be performed the same day as the patient’s consultation and generally takes 15-30 minutes. The results of Restylane Lyft usually last 9-12 months, depending on the treatment area. When used regularly, the results of Restylane SILK in the lips usually lasts 3-6 months, while other areas of the face, results can last 6-9 months. After the treatment, patients can resume their normal activities, but they should avoid touching the face for 6-24 hours. What is Restylane Lyft?
Formerly known as Perlane-L®, Restylane Lyft is used for cheek augmentation, by improving volume in the midface, and filling in moderate-to-severe wrinkles and folds. Restylane Lyft is best for the "parentheses" or nasolabial lines around the mouth, enhancing the contours of the cheeks, and plumping the midface.
What is Restylane SILK?
Restylane SILK is specially formulated for lip enhancement and to smooth the lines and wrinkles around the mouth. Restylane SILK uses smaller, smoother particles than the rest of the Restylane family of injectables, which makes it ideal for natural-looking results along more precise lines.
What Are the Side Effects?
Some patients may experience mild side effects after their Restylane treatment, including temporary redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness for 7 – 18 days. Patients should avoid using aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication, St. John’s wort, and vitamin E before and after a treatment to minimize bruising.

The Restylane Regimen is a treatment plan for correcting moderate to severe lines and wrinkles and keeping the results. After the initial treatment, patients should schedule touch-up treatments every 4 – 9 months. Eventually, patients will begin to notice that their results last longer, in some cases up to 18 months.
